About Insight Advisors
I founded Insight Advisors to help students navigate their way through the busy, and often confusing, time of life that comprises young peoples’ high school and college years. With school counselors often terribly overworked, and the stresses on parents mounting, we offer students informed and objective support in making the vital decisions surrounding college and career selection. Having been in this position not too long ago myself, I understand firsthand the frustrations that students are feeling.
Growing up in the Midwest, I received what is considered to be a great public education. Class sizes were small, teachers loved to teach, and parents were there for support. After graduating from high school with honors and achieving a high score on the ACT, I thought that I was well-positioned and prepared for college. Of course, mine was a classic case of teenage naivety. Like most young people, I had little objective information or direction concerning appropriate college choices.
Similarly, while college was an enlightening and rewarding experience, I found little in the way of career guidance. After spending five years in an unfulfilling occupation, consulting with two career counselors, and spending countless hours reading about “finding your passion,” I finally found mine. I created Insight Advisors to help others realize their dreams earlier, while avoiding the costly errors of unguided college and career choices.
You send your children to the best schools you can, and you work hard to give them the things that will make them comfortable enough to succeed while they are there. Unfortunately, even the best of parents often fail to prepare their children for the reality of where they’re going. College is both a considerable monetary commitment and a life-altering opportunity; selecting the right college for your student warrants careful consideration and analysis.
Likewise, entering the work force after college is exhilarating, but extremely competitive. Students need to be confident in their career choices, in order to start their future off on the right foot. Again, we are here to assist them in this process.
In short, Insight Advisors provides students with the tools they need, in order to focus adequately on their future. And we help them to make informed and confident decisions about the college and career fields best suited to their individual preferences and abilities. We serve as an unbiased third-party, working hand-in-hand with students and parents to accomplish the goal of giving young people every advantage they deserve. Using our discovery techniques, your children will achieve a better understanding of themselves, what their interests and talents are, and where best to utilize these attributes.
